Escuta.org is a space for the convergence of sound art, performance, and technological research, where the boundaries between sound, body, voice and space are constantly explored and redefined. The site documents the artistic and academic work of Simone Reis and Iain Mott, two creators who, from their individual trajectories to their most direct collaborations, investigate the expressive potentialities of sound as a contemporary artistic language.

Through interactive installations, processual performances, and electroacoustic compositions, the projects presented here engage with fundamental questions of human experience: identity, memory, presence, and absence. Utilising advanced sound spatialisation technologies such as ambisonic systems, and innovative interfaces, each work constructs unique sensorial universes that invite audiences to an active and transformative listening and visual experience.

Collaboration is a central element of this artistic practice. Together with other creators, technicians, and students, Reis and Mott develop projects that transcend traditional disciplines, uniting theatre, electroacoustic music, visual arts, and new media. This collective work is reflected both in pieces presented at galleries and international festivals, and in pedagogical activities developed at the University of Brasília, where theory and practice mutually nourish each other.

Each project documented on Escuta.org represents a particular investigation into the poetic and technical possibilities of sound, contributing to the expansion of the sound art and performance fields in Brazil and its insertion into contemporary international dialogue.
